Container House EU CE Certification Steel Structure EN1090 Standard


Container house is a building system that hits the fashion trend again and again. It can be moved anywhere at any time, bringing people a more convenient and comfortable life. Container House-Steel Structure CE Certification Standard: Introduction to EN1090 Standard


EN1090 is the standard for steel structure under the CPR (Requlation (EU) No305/2011) of the CE Certification of Building Materials. The standard came into effect on September 1, 2012, and the old standard was completely abolished on July 1, 2014, and EN1090 began to be enforced. The EU stipulates that after July 1, 2014, all steel structures entering the EU market must obtain EN1090 certificates before they can be allowed to be sold in the EU market.


The EN1090 standard has three parts:


· EN 1090-1:2009+A1:2011 (Steel and Aluminum Structures - Part 1: Basic Requirements for Conformity Assessment of Structural Components) (Directive Standard)


· EN 1090-2: 2008 (Steel and Aluminum Structures - Part 2: Technical Requirements for Steel Structures (Non-Directive Standard)


· EN 1090-3: 2008 (Steel and Aluminum Structures - Part 3: Technical Requirements for Aluminum Structures) (Non-Directive Standard)


EN 1090 belongs to System2+ category under the CPR specification for building materials, mainly including factory production control, initial type test, continuous supervision and evaluation, etc.


EN1090 Certification Points


EN1090 certification is an audit of the steel structure enterprise system. It mainly assesses the quality control capabilities of the enterprise. These mainly include: welding personnel qualifications, material certificates, quality control documents, welding system establishment, and product testing.


The main points that need to be certified are as follows:


a. Establish factory production control system FPC; refer to EN 1090-16.3P19;


b. Select execution level EXC1~4; refer to EN 1090-2A.3P 107:


c. Material certificate verification: refer to EN1090-25P25


d. Establish welding system; refer to EN 1090-1Table B.1P26;


e. Determine product performance parameters; refer to EN1090-1ZA1P30:


f. Sign declaration of conformity and use CE plate.
